Derrick Comments On His Message Sunday.

So for those who heard my (Derrick) message on Sunday, I want to highlight those core truths of the Gospel that Paul mentions in Galatians 1:1-5.

Paul, an apostle--sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—and all the brothers with me, To the churches in Galatia: Galatians 1:1-2 (NIV)

1.     The Gospel is from God.

2.     The Gospel says Jesus rose from the dead.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, Galatians 1:3 (NIV)

3.     The Gospel brings grace and peace.

[Jesus] Who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, Galatians 1:4 (NIV)

4.     The Gospel says Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

5.     The Gospel brings us freedom to live a new life (Holy Spirit).

6.     The Gospel is God’s will.

To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Galatians 1:5 (NIV)

7.     The Gospel gives God the glory and not us.

Guard these truths and keep them at the foundation of who you are and what you do. This will ensure that you will always see this Gospel as true, even if someone else is trying to deceive you by another “gospel.”
